Other Details: What I learnt from Manjhi: \n\nIf there is a cause you believe in, and if you are the only person in the world who believes in it, stick to it. It will make a difference. There is immense power in the ACTION of each ONE of us. If Manjhi had received the help of all the villagers for a few hours a day, the task would have been done long long long ago. The task that I have committed a few hours to everyday is helping the cause of lost pets in Bangalore. \n\nMy "Manjhi" : Like how "Google"ing is synonymous to search, I want "Manjhi" to be synonymous with a cause someone commits their entire life to. The REASON for existence. The MOTIVATION for each day. The DRIVE in every cell in the body. For me that drive is to help street animals. Its their planet to!! The "DEVELOPMENT" of a society is not just in the number of high rise buildings. The progress of a society should be measured by the quality of LIFE of all species. The "developed country" of USA has no street dogs and make fantastic, clean opportunity for photographs because STREET DOGS ARE EXECUTED. No, they are not cared for in each layout by people living there. They are put in cages and given three months time within which they are either taken up for adoption or KILLED. Why? Because we don't really like sharing our territory with another species. Our whims and fancies decide the fate of other living beings!\n\nHow to be a Manjhi: I request everyone reading this to take one action. Please commit to giving spare food to the street dogs near your house rather than throwing it in the dustbin. Please spare the vegetable peels for the cows wandering the streets than throwing it in the dustbin. Lets learn to create an ecosystem of helping the survival and sustenance of other beings around us - the ones to whom we should share this land. \n\nLike Manjhi, lets destroy the mountain of negligence and apathy and make way for extending our hearts to living creatures around us through our actions. \n\nBe a Manjhi. You are Manjhi. I am Manjhi. We can be Manjhi.
